"Stonehenge! Where the demons dwell / Where the banshees live and they do ... Stonehenge! Where a man's a man / And the children dance to the Pipes of Pan ..."
We have just come home from a weekend break to Longleat & Bath. During which we did all the usual tourist attractions and a couple off the beaten track. First stop, Stonehenge. Well worth the visit and if your are a National Trust member its free & they fast track you past the Japanese Tourists. Result!
Friday night we went for a ghost walk around Bath. The guide was a bit eccentric to say the least and at one point all 5 of us were inside a Holly bush in a park trying to touch the spirits of dead Duellers. ooh err! I really did expect a bit more history....Not Derek Acorah!
The Hotel's description of 'Double Room' was a bit optimistic. Really a single room with a double 4-poster in it. If the cats had come with us we couldn't have swung them! And heres a word of advice.....please put frosted glass in a bathroom where the toilet is next to a low window! Also 2 people = 2 chairs in the room please!

Mind you it was clean, the staff were friendly, if not too efficient and the food was OK.
Longleat was everything I expected it to be...excellent. And we met Tony Fitzjohn, the man who lives and works with Lions in Kenya. We bought his book which he signed for us & also posed for a photo. What a nice chap!
All in all a great weekend!
Today I thought I would set up the Hi-fi properly. So after Naim delivered my wifi antenna which was missing from the box and I installed it, it was all systems go..............then the uniti started cutting out. first I thought it was a dodgy CD. No its the same on radio. A quick check in the factory settings shows the internal temperature is 40C...maybe this as a problem but when you spend the best part of a months salary on a Hifi you expect it to work! A phone call is in order to the shop.
Don't forget to catch me on http://www.dancewebradio.co.uk/ next sunday 4-6pm...Its gonna be a blast from the past!
TTFN
